Priority order
- Galactic Legends — Mod these first, always.
- GL lifters — Key units that lift you toward a Galactic Legend.
- Popular GAC teams — The current meta, ranked by tier and usage.
- Your GAC teams — Off-meta characters you actually field that the meta didn't already cover.
- Fleet pilots — Ship crew not already ranked above.
- Everyone else — The rest of your roster, alphabetical.
Each character lands in the first group it qualifies for, so higher-priority characters take the good mods first. To keep the optimizer from re-using a character's mods, lock that character in Grandivory once you're happy with it — the template can't encode that, so it stays a one-click step in the optimizer.
About the Grandivory Template Builder
Generate a character template for the Grandivory Mods Optimizer, ordered by mod priority and personalized to your account. Galactic Legends first, then GL lifters, then the current GAC meta by tier and usage, then the off-meta teams you actually field, then fleet pilots, then everyone else. Drag characters between tiers, remove ones you don't care about, search for anyone, then download and import straight into the optimizer.
How it works
It pulls the current GAC meta ranking and your own GAC roster, then orders every character by mod priority: Galactic Legends, popular meta teams, your off-meta teams, fleet pilots, then the rest. Each character gets a role-based optimization target with the primaries and speed floor top players run. Download the JSON and import it into Grandivory.

FAQ
Which characters should get mods first in SWGOH?
Mod your Galactic Legends first, then the units that lift you toward a GL, then the current GAC meta teams (ranked by tier and usage from top Kyber players), then the off-meta teams you actually field in GAC, then fleet pilots, then everyone else. This tool builds that exact priority order for your account automatically and exports it as a Grandivory Mods Optimizer template, so you optimize the characters that matter first.
Is the Grandivory Template Builder free?
Yes. No login, no payment. Enter your ally code and download the template.
How do I import the template into Grandivory?
In the Grandivory Mods Optimizer, go to Explore → Manage → Import character templates and select the downloaded file. Then optimize your roster against it.
What order are characters in, and why?
Galactic Legends first, then GL lifters (key units you invest in to unlock a GL), then the current GAC meta ranked by tier and usage, then the off-meta teams you actually field in GAC, then fleet pilots, then everyone else. Each character lands in the first group it qualifies for, so higher-priority characters take the good mods first when you optimize top-down.
How is 'the current GAC meta, ranked by tier and usage' defined?
It's built from real Grand Arena data, not a hand-made list. We take the defense teams placed by the top 2,500 Kyber-division accounts (ranked by skill), across both 5v5 and 3v3. A team is a defense leader plus the teammates most often placed alongside it. Usage is how many of those top accounts placed that leader on defense. Tier (S/A/B/C) scores each team on effectiveness: how often it held (wasn't cleared on defense) weighted 60%, plus its win rate when taken on offense weighted 40%, gated by how many accounts ran it. Teams are ordered tier first, then usage. This group includes S, A, and B tiers; C-tier is fringe off-meta defense (a handful of accounts placing Geonosians, Ewoks, or old Nightsisters as filler), so those characters drop to the lower-priority groups rather than being called meta. A leader must be placed by at least 25 separate accounts (about 1% of the cohort) to count at all, which filters out one-off fringe defense.
Can I leave out characters I haven't invested in?
Yes. Turn on the "Min relic" filter next to the search bar and set a relic level (0 to 10). Any character in your roster below that relic level, plus anything you don't own, is dropped from the template. Level 0 excludes characters below gear 13; raise it to trim to only your relic-5-and-up roster, and so on. Below the tiers you can toggle "Include at bottom" to keep the filtered-out characters in the template but ranked after everything above your cutoff, so you can still have your whole roster behind your high-relic priorities. It reads your live roster, so it needs your ally code.
Can it tell the optimizer which mods NOT to use?
A character template can't encode that — it only sets per-character targets. To protect a character's mods, lock that character in Grandivory once you're happy with it. Locked characters keep their mods and are pulled out of the pool for everyone else. Optimizing top-down and locking as you go is the intended workflow.
Why are some of my characters missing personalized teams?
The 'your GAC teams' group needs GAC history for your ally code. If you're new or haven't played a recent season, that group will be small and the template falls back to GLs, meta, and pilots. Play a GAC season and regenerate to fold your teams in.
