The SWGOH developer engaged with a user who expressed strong dislike for the new official forums, describing them as "utterly appalling" and a "step backwards." The developer asked for the user's top five specific complaints. The user provided the following issues:

  1. Too much dead space between navigating to the site and finding information.
  2. Recently posted items are difficult to locate.
  3. Limited formatting options.
  4. It's harder to find important posts or information, and there are fewer dedicated locations for specific topics.

In response to the user mentioning dark mode as an additional concern, the developer confirmed that dark mode is a "daily ask" from them and is actively "being worked on." The developer also noted that not being logged out every time the forum is closed is an "honorable mention" for desired improvements.
