Error 9.0 hotfix deployed; only a small subset of players affected

Late in the day MeatheadMilitia checked in on a login issue, asking whether folks were getting an error after another player mentioned a 9.0 error.

• He acknowledged that not everyone was getting the error and that it appeared to be a partial outage rather than a global one.
• About two and a half hours later he confirmed: "Hotfix to get error 9.0 folks back in is deployed/deploying."
• In a follow-up he reiterated that a lot of people DID NOT get Error 9.0 and that it was a small subsect of players.

No root cause for Error 9.0 was shared in this channel on this day. The fix path was a server-side hotfix rather than a client update, and the rollout was already in motion by the time the announcement landed.
