SWGOH news: patch

Colonel Ward shards are now farmable from Dark Side Battles 7-E (Hard), and Captain Silvo is Accelerated. The update also fixes bugs affecting JMK, Mara Jade Skywalker, Merrin, Snowtrooper Commander, and Tusken Warrior.

To celebrate the launch of Star Wars: Zero Company, a forum giveaway asked players to comment with their favorite Star Wars item and fill out a form. Five winners were selected across PC, XBOX, PS5 USA/LATAM, and PS5 EU platforms, who are asked to PM for their codes.

CG Meathead said a hotfix was going out and confirmed, when asked what it was for, that it addresses the Silvo infinite revive loop. He later noted the hotfix had gone live and asked whether anyone was having trouble logging in.

The team is aware of an infinite revival loop with Silvo, which occurs when a mechanic removes his Protection completely so he can no longer recover it, such as a datacron affix. A hotfix is planned for the next morning. Meanwhile, revival prevention stops the revives.

A community team post opens a discussion about the order in which to unlock Galactic Legends, prompted by a conversation about a player who had just started SWGOH. It asks players to share their optimal GL unlock order and explain their reasoning.

On the Coliseum issue where your team is not remembered reliably and must be re-selected after era level increases, CG Meathead said he is working to get it pulled up but that it requires a client fix, which is harder to deploy. Players may have to deal with it for a while.

Zeb Orrelios (New Republic Pilot) shards are now farmable from Cantina Battles 9-F, and Vane joins the Accelerated List. Next Galactic Legend Mando relic requirements are listed. Fixes cover Leia (Jedi Training), Asajj Ventress, Marrok, Territory Battle Pirates, Hondo, and Daughter of Mortis.

A dev post clarifies unexpected Pirate King Hondo Ohnaka changes. His ability to Steal locked buffs, released earlier than intended, will be reverted in an upcoming release because not every locked buff is a valid target and players cannot access that information. Related fixes to several other characters remain in place.

CG Meathead said a fix was rolling out and should be resolved within 45 to 60 minutes. He confirmed it was a server-side change with no client update required, and warned that advancing to the next tier during the rollout could land on a server not yet patched.

The team acknowledged an issue where Yoda (Dark Side Vision)'s Marquee was soft locking players' games and worked on a hotfix. Updates followed through the day, and a server fix reached 100% deployment.

CG Meathead said a hotfix is likely to land tomorrow to address the Solo Carson datacron issue.

The Version 3.0 update schedules a Yoda (Dark Side) Marquee and Era Challenge, accelerates Brutus, makes R5-D4 farmable and moves six units to shipments. It also lists bug fixes, datacron corrections, and a Coliseum balance pass on Tiers 6 and up.

The Cassian Andor Journey Guide rerun timer is being adjusted one time to 28 days in tomorrow's update, extending the current timer by 21 days. Maul's earlier 28 day rerun timer was unintentional and should have been 7 days. All future Journey Guide reruns will run 7 days.

The team is aware that the Era Challenges are showing 3 days and is looking into a fix. Thanks were given for the player reports.

The 7-31-26 hotfix updated the Era Level recipe for Era Level 56 and Era Level 61. Deployment hit a speed bump under investigation. At 11:43 the game was accessible but stability was very bad. At 12:11 servers were refreshed with issues returning to zero, expected to settle in 10-15 minutes.

CG Meathead said a Friday game outage was caused by bad servers that got exposed and overloaded when a hotfix deployed and players returned, not by the era level recipe changes. The team spun up new servers to restore stability.

The team is investigating multiple issues that surfaced after the Era rollover. Players who purchased the Mara 5-pack and were stuck should restart their client to fix their character. Anyone missing loaned unit tokens should restart the game and check their inbox.

CG Meathead said the team is still investigating problems with the Era refresh calendars and pointed players to an EA forum blog post. He said he would update that post once he has any news.

The Jedi Master Mace Windu event is now permanent. Loaned Units portraits have been fixed.

A hotfix was deployed for a Territory War sign up issue. The team acknowledged the problem and said the thread would be updated as more was known. A later edit confirmed the issue has been resolved.
