Cassian Andor Compensation Update Addresses Player Concerns
Capital Games has issued an update regarding the compensation provided for issues related to Cassian Andor’s unique ability, Partisan Fighter. This announcement follows player feedback concerning the initial distribution, which had a more restrictive eligibility.
The core of the problem stemmed from Cassian Andor’s Partisan Fighter unique ability, specifically its functionality with non-Rebel Fighter allies. For a period, the ability was not applying its full effects as intended, impacting gameplay for players utilizing Cassian in certain team compositions. This bug affected the character’s overall utility and the strategic viability of teams built around him, particularly within Grand Arena Championships, Territory Wars, and Conquest.
Initially, compensation was distributed to players who had both Cassian Andor at Relic 3 or higher and had invested in the Zeta ability for Partisan Fighter by a specific cutoff date. This approach proved problematic because it excluded a segment of the player base who had experienced the bug but did not meet the exact Relic or Zeta activation criteria. Players who had activated the ability but perhaps not yet reached Relic 3, or who had activated it after the cutoff but still within the bug's active period, found themselves uncompensated despite facing the same in-game issue.
Responding to community feedback, Capital Games has revised the compensation plan. The new eligibility criteria are significantly broader: any player who activated the Partisan Fighter Zeta ability will now receive compensation, regardless of their Cassian Andor’s Relic level or the exact date of Zeta activation relative to the previous cutoff. This expanded eligibility ensures that more players who were genuinely affected by the bug will be recognized.
The revised compensation package includes several items. All eligible players will receive 2,000 Crystals, a valuable in-game currency. Additionally, the compensation includes 10 Zeta Materials, critical for upgrading unique abilities on many characters. These materials are highly sought after and often a bottleneck for player progression. Furthermore, 20 Omega Materials will be provided, used for maxing out basic abilities. The inclusion of these materials directly addresses the investment players made into Cassian Andor’s ability, even if its performance was flawed for a time.
For players who already received the initial compensation package, no further action is required. Capital Games stated that the updated distribution will supplement their previous rewards, ensuring they also benefit from the expanded compensation. Players who were not initially eligible but now qualify under the new criteria will receive the full package of Crystals, Zeta Materials, and Omega Materials.
This adjustment signifies an important development in how Capital Games addresses in-game issues and player satisfaction. The prompt response to community feedback and the decision to broaden compensation eligibility reflects a commitment to fairness. It sets a precedent for future bug-related compensation, suggesting that eligibility criteria may be reviewed and expanded if initial distributions do not adequately cover all affected players.
Practically, for players, this means checking their in-game inbox for the updated compensation. The additional Crystals can be used for energy refreshes, gear purchases, or character shards from shipments. The Zeta and Omega Materials are crucial for character development, allowing players to upgrade key abilities on other characters, not just Cassian Andor, potentially strengthening their rosters for various game modes. This updated compensation is a direct benefit for a wider segment of the player base and helps mitigate the frustration caused by the original Partisan Fighter bug.
