Era pack compensation only for post-update purchases, pre-update buyers unlikely to get crystals
CG community manager MeatheadMilitia addressed lingering questions about the era pack compensation rollout. After CG decided to grant all players unlimited era materials, players who had previously purchased era material packs were promised crystal compensation. That compensation has now gone out, but a number of players reported still not receiving anything.
Key clarifications from the thread:
- The compensation was specifically targeted at players who purchased the era packs after the update that changed era material access, not those who bought them earlier.
- Asked directly whether there are still plans to compensate players who purchased era packs prior to the changes last week, Meathead replied: "Unlikely."
- Players who purchased the affected packs after the update and did not receive compensation should submit an in-game support ticket. Meathead specified "in-game" as his best guess for the correct channel.
- A specific edge case was raised: a player who purchased the era packs before the update but did not 7-star Cassian. Based on Meathead's read of the internal JIRA tickets, this case does not qualify for compensation.
This effectively closes the door on retroactive crystal refunds for the bulk of players who bought era materials early. The community pushback in the thread suggests this is not a popular resolution, but it appears to be the final answer from CG's side.
