CG Meathead explains Friday outage was overloaded servers, not the hotfix

During a period of game instability on Friday, CG Meathead addressed player questions about what caused the disruption.

• He said the outage had nothing to do with the recipes, responding to a player who was baffled that a hotfix for era level recipes could break the game so badly.
• The actual cause was bad servers that were exposed once the hotfix deployed. Those servers got slammed by people getting back into the game, which overloaded them.
• The team spun up new servers, and he said folks should be seeing stability as those servers come online.
• Asked whether it was safe to play GAC again, he said to give it 5 to 10 minutes.
• He acknowledged that Friday releases are never ideal, but said they do happen and are sometimes required.
• Later he noted he had not seen anyone else talk about the issue in Discord, which he described as the universal sign that everything is fixed.
