SWGOH news: datacron

A hotfix was deployed on June 4, 2025, to address an issue with the Focused Datacron for Temple Guard. Previously, it unlocked without upgrades. The fix ensures new acquisitions unlock at max level. Players who owned a 7-star Temple Guard at the time of the hotfix will receive the fully upgraded Datacron via inbox, as the automated release did not function as intended.

Capital Games is aware of an issue where the Temple Guard Focused Datacron is not being upgraded when earned. The team is currently investigating this problem.

This update makes Master Qui-Gon Accelerated and adds CX-2 to Chromium Packs and Shipments. Several bug fixes address issues with GL Ahsoka's summary, Ezra Bridger (Exile)'s stun, Conquest feats, and visual anomalies. Datacron totals for several characters are also provided.

Padawan Obi-Wan has been added to Accelerated Characters. Jar Jar Binks is permanently available in the Journey Guide. CC-1119 "Appo" is now in Chromium Packs and Shipments, and Crosshair (Scarred) shards are farmable from Light Side 7-9 Hard. Several bug fixes and adjustments were made to character abilities and datacrons, including fixes for Bad Batch Echo, General Kenobi, Lord Vader, CX-2, Master Qui-Gon, Jocasta Nu, Enfys Nest, Kanan Jarrus, and Disguised Clone Trooper.

Today's update announces SM-33 as a new Conquest unit and the addition of a 'Pirate' tag. Disguised Clone Trooper Wrecker (Mercenary) shards are now farmable from Dark Side 6-A Hard, and General Hux shards moved to Galactic War Shipments. Several bug fixes and adjustments were implemented, including a cost reduction for a CX-2 Omicron ability.

This update introduces CX-2 Arrives and makes Crosshair (scarred) available. Omicrons for 3v3 and 5v5 modes have been reduced in cost, with refunds issued. Several fixes and adjustments were made to ability descriptions and mechanics for various characters, including Appo and Lord Vader.

Capital Games is investigating two potential issues affecting Commander Appo. A bug with Appo's datacron has been confirmed and a fix is being implemented. The team is also investigating a potential issue with Appo's summon ability.

A forced client update was released, introducing the "Slice-a-bundle" feature for next week, allowing customizable item selection within bundles with tiered discounts. Text related to Focused Datacrons was updated, and several bugs were fixed.

This update makes Batcher's shards farmable from Fleet Battles, fixes several bugs, and details numerous adjustments to Datacron sets and character abilities.

The kit for CC-1119 "Appo" is revealed, categorizing him as a Dark Side Attacker and Clone Trooper. He is designed to synergize with Galactic Legend Lord Vader and other Dark Side Clone Troopers, including a summoned Knightfall Trooper. Appo's abilities focus on dispelling buffs, applying Damage Over Time, and granting buffs like Dramatic Entrance.

A new Era of content themed around Revenge of the Sith begins April 8th. It introduces new Dark Side Clone Troopers and Jedi Vanguards, culminating in a Lord Vader Raid and requiring all new units for the Jedi Vanguard leader. Grand Moff Tarkin will receive a rework to lead Dark Side Clones.

The upcoming client update will introduce Focused Datacrons, which offer linear progression and displayed benefits without chance mechanics, though at a higher upgrade cost. These Datacrons will support diverse squad compositions and have up to 15 levels, acquirable from Episode Shipments. Other updates include alphabetized titles, improved Datacron navigation, and a raised Datacron Currency cap.

A new Community Milestone Event is available, focused on earning rewards by spending Conquest Energy. The event features character shards for Darth Malgus, Maul, Queen Amidala, Luthen Rael, and the new Conquest character Jocasta Nu, along with Datacrons, Data-cache Currency, and Deboss materials across five milestones.

All players who 7-starred Hunter (Mercenary) will receive the Hunter (Mercenary) Datacron in a future update. Those who already earned the Datacron will receive a second copy.

This update introduces the February event calendar, new kits for Jocasta Nu and Hunter, and makes General Syndulla's shards farmable. It includes fixes for several bugs, such as Grand Inquisitor's instant defeat ability in Territory Wars and TIE Dagger's self-damage. Known issues for Hunter and the new Datacron are also noted.

Datacron Set 19 is introduced, detailing new stat ranges for Tiers 1-2, 4-5, and 7-8. It includes new alignment bonuses for Dark Side and Light Side, as well as faction bonuses for Unaligned Force Users, Rebels, Imperial Troopers, and Tuskens. Specific character abilities are also detailed for several individuals, including Galactic Legend Ahsoka Tano, Commander Luke Skywalker, and various Imperial Troopers and Tuskens.

Today's update announces the new Galactic Legend Ahsoka Tano, Datacron set 19, a new monthly calendar, and changes to the Hyperdrive Bundle. It also fixes multiple bugs, including issues with The Scimitar, Master Qui-Gon, General Syndulla, and Queen Amidala. Bo-Katan (Mand'alor)'s Journey Guide is now permanently available.

A player asked about Datacron QoL changes such as the ability to name them. Meathead said he had built quite a list of feedback since Datacrons were introduced. He did not commit to a date but signaled the request was already captured for the team.

A new character, Padawan Sabine Wren, is being introduced to Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. She is an Attacker and a prerequisite for Galactic Legend Ahsoka Tano. Her kit features a new debuff called Off Balance and mechanics that interact with Force Connection stacks and Spectre allies.

Baylan Skoll, a Dark Side Tank, Leader, Mercenary, and Unaligned Force User, is introduced as an Epic Confrontation character. His event begins on October 31st at 11 AM Pacific and requires Grand Admiral Thrawn, Great Mothers, Marrok, Morgan Elsbeth, and Shin Hati at Relic 7. His kit focuses on gaining and utilizing "Soldier of Fortune" stacks for himself and Mercenary allies, with specific abilities for Grand Arenas.
