SWGOH news: datacron

Today's SWGOH update introduces Death Trooper (Peridea), a Chompers Q/A, an updated August Calendar, UI changes for Android and iOS, and the Battle for Naboo Faction tag. Several Datacron bugs and a character name correction were also fixed.

This post clarifies several mechanics for Death Trooper (Peridea), including how "Just a Nibble" interacts with low health targets, the activation conditions for unique abilities, and the interaction of his basic attack with Blight. It also confirms Imperial TIE Fighter Pilot will gain the Imperial Remnant tag.

A new Datacron Set, Set 16, has been announced. This set will be active for 90 days and focuses on the Galactic Republic, Mandalorian, and Scoundrel factions. It also includes general combat mechanics like Turn Meter and Protection.

This post on Datacron Set 15 contains no visible information outside of spoiler tags. The content is explicitly hidden behind "highlight to read" sections for stats, alignment, faction, and characters.

This Q&A addresses several aspects of Padawan Obi-Wan, including his event structure, exclusive Datacron mechanics, character synergies, and ability details. It clarifies how his abilities interact with other characters and confirms his performance both within and outside of Conquest mode.

The content creator, who works for CG, is gathering anecdotal reports about game instability experienced by players in the past 24 hours. They are looking for issues like lag, stuttering, and app crashes, particularly on Chromebooks and when managing Territory War defenses, to correlate with internal data.

A hotfix was released for the Resistance Datacron addressing issues with multiple encounters. However, this fix revealed a new interaction issue with characters like Zorii Bliss, which will be resolved in the next update. Players should plan for this fix to apply to locked-in Datacrons during ongoing GAC and TW events.

A known issue has been identified for Datacron Set 14 regarding Count Dooku. Count Dooku's Level 9 ability can roll for both Separatist and Sith Factions, but he will not appear as an option for Sith in the UI. This is a visual bug only.

Details for Datacron Set 13 have been revealed, including its stats, alignment, applicable factions, and specific characters that will benefit from it. A correction was issued regarding the initially posted Accuracy stat, which is actually Potency.

Regarding the potential fix for Datacron Level 3 and Level 9 links, MeatheadMilitia stated he does not have information on whether an implementation is coming soon. He only confirmed that he does not possess any links or updates on this specific issue.

This update introduces Morgan Elsbeth's kit and makes Master Qui-Gon's shards farmable. It also includes several bug fixes, affecting raid mechanics, character abilities, and text descriptions across various units and game modes.

MeatheadMilitia indicated that information regarding the next datacron set would likely be posted tomorrow. Later in the day, he specified this information would be posted "soon," within approximately 10 minutes, as he was gathering screenshots.
