SWGOH news: digest

MeatheadMilitia, a SWGOH content creator, responded to a comment about a lack of teasers for the next Conquest character by suggesting he may have already provided one. This indicates that the community might have overlooked an earlier hint, or that the tease was subtle enough to be missed.

MeatheadMilitia expressed high regard for Commander Luke Skywalker (CLS), stating that CLS is a "King" and a "great character and team" in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. He noted that CLS will always hold a special place in his heart, suggesting sustained relevance and affection for the character.

In response to a query about the frequency of "RA" (likely referring to Raid Analytics or a similar game feature), the content creator hinted that an update or change is "soon," though they emphasized that this "soon" should be taken with a significant grain of salt, possibly extending into late 2024.

A guild member experiencing a discrepancy in QA shards, where the displayed crate color did not match the backend amount received, was advised to report the issue through official customer service channels and the Answers HQ forums. The content creator cannot directly investigate such backend data discrepancies.

A recent hotfix in SWGOH primarily addressed a bug that prevented Android users from purchasing packs. This was the main focus of the update, with no other significant changes mentioned.

MeatheadMilitia encountered a PC client error requiring prior game access on the EA App, a problem also reported by other users for different EA games. He sought to resolve the issue, suggesting he might be able to provide client access to helpful players.

MeatheadMilitia confirms that no new information regarding the upcoming raid will be released today. This addresses player impatience and clarifies the immediate content release schedule for the game.

A second wave of invitations for a secret Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes playtest has been extended. Although official emails have not yet been sent, players are advised to check their EA Apps directly to see if they were selected to participate in this private testing phase.

The content creator confirmed that he knows the alignment of the next Conquest character. However, he declined to reveal it, despite a player asking if it would shatter their hope for the character to be Crosshair. This indicates the information is determined but being kept confidential.

The content creator, a Capital Games employee, indicated that the news post detailing information about the upcoming Naboo Raid has not yet been written. This suggests that a public release of raid details is not imminent, as it has not even reached the drafting stage.

MeatheadMilitia stated that his giveaway of codes for the PC client is dependent on his mood. He gives them away when he is happy, but burns them when he is not.

MeatheadMilitia indicated that information regarding the next datacron set would likely be posted tomorrow. Later in the day, he specified this information would be posted "soon," within approximately 10 minutes, as he was gathering screenshots.

The content creator distributed codes for the SWGOH PC Client, emphasizing that the email used for the EA App must match the email associated with the Webstore account to gain access. An EA account is automatically created when an email is used for the Webstore. Players must redeem codes on the EA App with the correct, matching email.

The issue preventing a 'no pause' option in the PC client has been identified and fixed by developers. Although the fix was implemented before launch, it was inadvertently omitted from the initial build. A future update will incorporate this correction.

The Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes PC client is not compatible with Mac operating systems. This was confirmed by the content creator in response to a user's inquiry about Mac availability.

To ensure the PC client functions correctly, users must verify that the email address associated with their EA App account matches the email address used for their webstore account. Mismatched emails will prevent the client from working, as stated by the content creator.

Official forms for submitting feedback and reporting bugs for the PC client are expected to be distributed soon. Players selected for the beta will receive emails containing links to these separate forms, one for general feedback and another for specific bugs or issues encountered during gameplay.

The SWGOH PC Closed Beta program has no immediate timeline for adding more participants. The development team is prioritizing stability, adjustments, and fixes. Existing registrants do not need to reapply, and new sign-ups are still accepted, but access is not guaranteed.

MeatheadMilitia confirmed that players will receive free character shards for three of the four Gungans as part of the May the 4th event. This provides an opportunity for players to acquire or advance these specific Gungan units without additional cost.

The content creator reported a return of server performance issues, specifically slow loading and sluggishness within the game. He asked other players if they were experiencing similar problems, confirming that the issues from the previous day appeared to be reoccurring.
